Changing MetaSound during Gameplay in Unreal Engine 5 [Demo]
A downloadable project
As the player (the pawn) climbs the stairs to reach the floating sphere, the music created with MetaSound changes, building up towards the musical theme associated with the sphere.
Project includes the full UE5 project folder for plug-and-play, including a custom MetaSound to generate music, as well as a Blueprint that updates the MetaSound according to how close the player is to the sphere.
There are two main assets of interest found in the Content folder:
1. [MetaSound asset] found in Content > Audio > MS_Game_Music
2. [Blueprint asset] found in Content > Geometry > BP_Orb
All files are free-to-use in your game or UE5 experience.
